At Biordi Engineering and Consulting DPC, we take a comprehensive systems approach rooted in building pathology in understanding the make up of infrastructure. We believe this is necessary to evaluate how it interacts with the environment and its occupants in order to take into consideration all physical phenomena the structure must withstand to ascertain the cause/origin of various defects.
Our practical and scientific approach is supported by our state of the art use of technology whether it is through the clever use of infrared scanning, indoor and outdoor aerial drone photography, moisture mapping of building structures. We believe these tools play a necessary part in our assessments which go beyond what is readily seen by the human eye and ultimately provide cost effective, sound solutions to our clients. Through our detailed recommendations and design, we intend to ensure structures are maintained safe in an effort to prioritize our clients resources and increase the overall resilience of the system.
Our multidisciplinary team is composed of qualified personnel who are licensed engineers and technicians who are equipped with a unique combination of skills, grounded in the first principles of physics, to approach problems from a variety of ways. These include knowledge of structural mechanics, energy code compliance experts, certified thermographers and FAA (Federal Airspace Administration) drone pilots. We pride ourselves on our diligence and presenting the acquired data in a simplified manner which we correlate to financial savings.
We believe in prioritizing the option of cost effective “long term solutions” as opposed to the band aid approach and inevitable reworking of localized areas due to systemic defects.
